Arrangements for managing leave
Well-defined,fair and reasonable arrangements for requesting leave should exist and should be known to everyone.
Staff should be asked to give as much notice as possible and to consider that others may want to take leave at the same time. It may be useful in forums like team meetings or departmental meetings to discuss how leave can best be managed in the light of operational needs, with a view to developing approaches that take account of everyone’s needs. This includes the needs of those who do not hold any specific religion or belief and should not be disadvantaged.
