Alcohol

A number of religions do not take alcohol so soft drinks should be available at social events where alchol is served.

Some employees may find events where alcohol is being served uncomfortable. Be aware of the need to also provide alternative ways for people to socialise if some employees might be disadvantaged by not attending particular social events. Team Lunches, company charity events, family open days, children’s parties, sports events are all examples of events that provide an opportunity for all employees to socialise and build positive relationships.
