You are in: Religions
As a starting point we looked at the census figures (2001) so that we could respond to the demographics of religion and belief in GB today. We then consulted widely with HR personnel in the private sector, government departments, health trusts and local authorities to see what level and type of information they would find most helpful. This is very much an ongoing process and if you feel you would like to see additions or changes to the information on religion and belief please contact us. We also recognise that individual interpretation of beliefs and religion can vary widely within and across traditions. We have made every effort to represent each religion and belief as truthfully and accurately as possible. To assist with this, we work closely with a wide range of faith communities, religious bodies and minority groups with regards to the content of this section. In most cases the text has been written by the relevant faith community to reflect their own traditions. In summary then, our focus is not on theological debate but on sound practical information and resources to help HR personnel and managers in the workplace. Should there be any unintentional misrepresentations in any part of the material or if you would like to suggest any changes or additions, please feel free to contact us. We welcome your input. |
